Threw some whole wings on the smoker for about 2 hours. Used the A-Maze-N-Pellet Tube Smoker for smoke. Worked like a champ.

Made a wing sauce with some homemade BBQ sauce some honey and butter.

Here they are going on the smoker.

Brian, morning.... I have made a butter base sauce once for chicken.... tapatico and garlic and onion.... I really like the "butter base" better than others.... What is your thinking on BB sauces ??? I like it for steaks too...

I think the BB sauce really helped. The fat in the butter helped the skin get tender and crisp instead of being rubber. I haven't tried it on steak but will next time I do one.

Can you explain butter base sauce a little more? Sounds good!

Mike you melt down butter and mix in your sauce. The fat in the butter helps with a crispy skin and also helps leave a shiny coat on the end product.
